Sleep deprivation we meet again

We have a baby! And not just any baby. A two WEEK old baby that we got placed with and are taking care of. It is quite the adjustment. I think I got spoiled with sleeping through the night and attempting to study and take college finals with only 1 munchkin crying and needing things instead of two. Caffeine only does so much. The wonderful coma of parenthood. But the finals are finished and I think I did pretty well. The baby is starting to have a much better schedule than when we first started. Our living room has been converted from looking cute to just being plain functional and having plenty of shelves and baskets full of baby supplies. I have more laundry than a laundry mat to try and wash today and lot's of dishes. But cleaning was lower on my priority list and really when they're that little, it takes about a good week to figure everything out again. I took a LOA from my parent's group for a couple of weeks in order to get other things finished.

Christmas was wonderful! We had three really great ones. One at our home, one at my grandparent's that even had place cards, and one with Amadon's family where we ended up going out to the casino for a bit and we won a $100. Adele loved opening up presents. In fact we had to rewrap some about 4 times before CHristmas because she kept getting into them no matter where we hid them. And a couple, her eyes lit up and she smiled, that we didn't have the heart to make her wait for it after she opened them and let her have a few early. I would write more and I have tons of family pics to post but motherhood calls!
