Well, we might have some exciting news in the next few days. We have a meeting today to discuss being potential foster parents. We've been thinking about it for a while and I think we are ready in our hearts and home to bring in another. It hasn't been an easy decision and going to this meeting today will give us more information to decide on. There are so many questions you have to ask yourself from how this will affect your family, can you handle the out burts and baggage,are you completely ready in every aspect (well, as much as you can be), will you be able to handle giving the child back in a few months, etc etc. Many questions have been running through my head for a couple of weeks now. I really learned about foster parenting at the children's fair. I noticed I was eligible for it and then it got me to start really thinking. I also just have this really good gut feeling about it. I could be wrong, but I think your gut feeling is something to take into account too. When i brought this up to Amadon he was really interested too. THis is a decision that we have to both be completely ready to take on.
This leads me to our next potential milestone. Our lease is up June 1st so we are looking at a bigger place. The first house we looked at was so-so and we have a few more that we can hopefully see today.
I thought about doing at home daycare as well, especially if our new place is spacious enough but that's a little down the road. I don't want to take on too much.
